The Light Regional Far and 4x4 Expo opened it's gates for the first time today at Freeling as the replacement for the long running Farm Fair event held at Kapunda.
The event will allowing ticketholders the opportunity to chat to experts within over 120 stalls, both indoor and outdoor over two days.
Belgravia Leisure and Freeling Agriculture Recreation & Multi-use centre manager and event organiser Ross Sharer, Virginia, said the expo isn't normally what they do and it was the first time for their company across Australia to attempt it.
"For us, it was a bit risky to see how it would go," he said.

"The goal is to get similar numbers to the Kapunda Farm Fair.
"They would always average about 1500 on the Friday and about 2500 on Saturday so if we get those numbers, we will be pretty happy."
Some of the entertainment attracting thousands through the gates includes the Ass To Grass competition similar to that of lucky squares where attendees are invited to guess where the donkey will defecate.
Others were more excited for the four wheel driving demonstrations and the wood chopping that was going to be held on Saturday.
There are still tickets available for Saturday's event with gates open 10AM to 4PM.
