The 2023 Royal Adelaide Show was a huge week for livestock exhibitors but it was also a busy time for Mid North based scanner Rachel Chirgwin, RAC Farming, Manoora.

Orroroo Area School has returned to the Royal Adelaide sheep shed with a bang after a four-year hiatus, bringing the school wether competition's heaviest sheep with them.

Mid North school makes Royal Show return

Kingston Community School's Neville Hines, Olivia Birchall, Piper Stenner, Edward Bradley, Katie Hines, Kate Parker, Hugo Pilmore and Delta Robinson. 

Students from Kingston Community School have been named the most professional in the ring during the Royal Adelaide Merino Schools Wether Competition, which can be attributed to time, effort, desire and consistency, according to the students.

South East students' dedication rewarded

A whopping 234 sheep went out for judging during the Royal Adelaide Show's school wether competition, up by 12 from last year's record attendance.
