In the month of August in 1973, the Royal Adelaide Show had kicked off and there were plenty of galas and balls for industry to show off their finest dancing threads.
The Stock Owners' Ball attracted a big gathering as well as dairy industry nights.
The Friesian Spring Sale was popular, as was the usual sheep markets at Gepps Cross and Strathalbyn.
