A CROWD of repeat buyers lined up on Friday for the Jaburee Merino and Poll Merino on-property sale at Wilmington.
There were 72 rams offered, with 53 sold to $2600 and an average $1166.
The top price was paid by local client M Modystach and LR Hitch, Wilmington, for Lot 7.
The 115-kilogram Poll Merino ram was bred from Jaburee's AI program and sired by Wallaloo Park 226, with a 40.7 millimetre eye muscle depth and an 18.4 micron fleece.
Volume buyer Corunna Pastoral, via Iron Knob, bought 12 Merino and Poll Merino rams, including the top price Merino ram at $1200.
Other volume buyers were Merna Merna Station and Fletcher Hoare, each buying seven rams.
Nutrien Ag solutions conducted the sale with Gordon Wood the auctioneer.
