In the month of June in 1979 it was the World Jersey Cattle Bureau Conference tour of the UK and the Potter Report was released. An Australian designed and build 725 propelled combine harvester was also launched at Kadina.
There was also a Friesian production sale and Landrace pig sale at Balaklava.
