COVID-19 may have forced the cancellation of many events this year but definitely not Christmas.
Across rural SA there has been plenty of festive cheer being spread with residents turning hay bales and old tyres into fantastic Christmas scenes in paddocks and along the roadside.
In Tailem Bend, the town's annual street parade was cancelled but a static display of two reindeers in the main street made from hay bales has attracted plenty of visitors.
The Coonawarra wine region has again got into the Christmas spirit with locals encouraged to use whatever they have at their disposal for this year's Stuffed Santa Competition.
Entrants have embraced the up-cycled theme with their creations including trees made of empty wine bottles and mattress springs.
The winner will be announced on Friday, December 18 with the displays up until early January.
