Former South Australian rural woman of the year Robyn Verrall has picked up an international gong at a recent award ceremony in London.

Ms Verrall, who represented SA in 2022, was awarded silver in the agriculture and farming category in the 2024 Women Changing the World Awards.
She was recognised alongside Zimbabwe-based agronomist and horticulturalist Cynthia Tapiwa Jera and snail farmer Victoria Howe, Yanmah, WA.
Ms Verrall, Keith, used her Agrifutures win to establish Harvesting Potential Inc, a Not-for-profit company aimed at empowering women, girls and rural communities.
The Women Changing the World Awards, presented by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and Zimbabwean-American educator Tererai Trent, honour women who have made significant global impacts across various sectors including sustainability, humanitarian work, leadership and innovation.
Ms Verrall echoed the message from the duchess, saying "women need to have their voices heard and not be silent whispers".
"Mine is one voice that can change and impact the lives of many, we have to keep talking," she said.
Dr Trent, a notable advocate for women's empowerment, said the awards were significant.
"These exceptional women are here to awaken hearts, give permission to recapture dreams and inspire the women of the world to come together to forge a brighter path for all," she said.
"The rising of women is the awakening of everybody."
