This week's Flashback Friday hails back to February of bicentenary year 1988, where some special dignataries attended the AWC Bicentennial Wool Collection function at the Sydney Opera House.

United Farmers & Stockowners branches also held meetings across the state, including at Coonalpyn and Keith, while a Bordertown meeting heard from the Australian Wheat Board that South East farmers could exploit the soft wheat market with new wheat variety Tataria.
Dianne Robinson won a trip to Sweden through the Rural Youth exchange at the RYM annual state conference at Roseworthy College, while farmers were shown through the new Boral Cyclone high-tech piggery at Monarto South. The piggery featured the first SA use of an effluent flushing system.
