Parents from off stations in the north, school representatives and government employees gathered at the Isolated Children's and Parents' Association state conference at the Quorn town hall on Friday.
A total of 24 motions which affected day-to-day life of educating children in the bush, were put forward at the conference themed Making Tracks.
Children of the families ICPA represented snapped photos which hung on the wall to show what making tracks looked like on their stations.
The event included guest speakers Anne Scammell who spoke about her history with ICPA, teaching and navigating living in the outback; and Sophie Matterson who trekked across Australia with a herd of camels.
The state conference had many sponsors to help make it possible including BHP, Australian Boarding Schools Association, MyEnergy, Nutrien Ag Solutions Port Augusta, NBN, FRRR, William Creek Sporting Events, AIC Mines, Outback Communities Authority, and SA Arid Lands Landscape Board.
Stock Journal's KIARA STACEY attended the conference and snapped these photos.
