Having a sticky beak on two farms near Carrieton was a benefit to graziers who travelled for the Livestock SA Containment Feeding day on Tuesday.
The event included talks from Talking Livestock consultant Deb Scammell and Moore Australia farm business advisor Chris Scheid, while Livestock SA's Pene Keynes provided an update on eID's.
Containment feeding for livestock producers in SA is increasingly popular, driven by its proven benefits for productivity, profitability, environmental management and animal welfare.
The same session will be held today at Coonalpyn, Tuesday at Robertstown, and Wednesday at Lock, before heading to Ceduna on Thursday next week.
The Sticky Beak events are proudly supported by funding from the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund, the Government of South Australia, Livestock SA, South Australian Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, and Australian Wool Innovations' Sheep Connect SA.
