Two fire incidents occurred in the Adelaide Hills yesterday during the extreme weather conditions.
In Nairne, a fire impacted a shed storing 70 hay bales, a tractor and surrounding buildings, causing more than $85,000 worth of damage.
Seven CFS crews remained on scene into the early hours of this morning, working to extinguish the blaze.
SA Ambulance and SA Police were also on the scene supporting, while SA Power Networks was notified.
The cause is currently unknown and Fire Cause have been notified.
Also yesterday, SA police and CFS were called to a home on Shepherds Hill Road after a man was seen using a flame weed killer to burn weeds out the front of his property.
The man allegedly accidentally set fire to a small area of other vegetation on his property, but was able to quickly extinguish it. There were no injuries or damage to property.
Police spoke to the man, a 65-year-old from Eden Hills, about the fire danger season and fire ban days.
The man is likely to receive a $572 expiation notice.
While on Wednesday last week, CFS crews were called to a small grass fire at Freeling.
The fire, caused by farm machinery, burned a small amount of stubble crop and destroyed a header, with total losses estimated to be about $180,000.
The CFS wishes to acknowledge the quick efforts of the farm firefighting units involved in this incident, with 12 on the scene.
