The April 2022-drop Aruma Thor was by Mandayen King Q024 and out of the 2022 Adelaide senior champion Limousin cow Mandayen Abigail M251.
Aruma stud principal Phoebe Eckermann said they had bought Mandayen Abigail M251 in-calf for $10,000 at the Brentvale stud sale in Keith, in partnership with the Jones family from the Badger View stud, Sheffield, Tas.
"We knew that once she dropped that it was a very good calf," she said. "And he grew out so well."
Aruma Thor weighed 716 kilograms, and had an eye muscle area of 120 square centimetres, with 8 millimetres rib and 8mm rump fat.
Judge Nicole Nicholls, Tookawhile stud, Kyogle, NSW, said the young bull "had it all - performance, profitability, production".
"I really believe this junior bull has a big future in our industry," she said.
"He's structurally sound, got that real sirey outlook, a beautiful length of neck, well-set shoulders, good feet, capacity and length, adequate muscle, nice and soft, and he just manages himself really well in the ring."
Aruma Limousins also won junior champion female with Aruma Treasured Gillard T4, which Ms Eckermann said was an embryo calf out of quality female Raven Red Ms Gillard G81 and by Lawrence sire LFLC Ace 750A.
Judge Nicholls said the June 2022-drop "ripping" female "had it all".
"She's got that beautiful wedge shape, she has that depth and thickness and volume, but still maintains that femininity, is very even in her udder, and has a beautiful hindquarter," she said.
"I can't wait to see her when she's got a calf on her."
Aruma brought a team of eight, plus a calf, to the show.
"We were really happy to see our juniors do so well, and to see our homebreeding shine through," Ms Eckermann said.
Aruma plans to take both champions to Melbourne Show as part of their six-head team, along with their reserve senior champion female Warrawindi Too Hot To Handle T2 and reserve junior champion female Aruma Tinkerbell T3.
After Melbourne, the supreme bull will be put to work, following its sale three months ago to a commercial enterprise.
Senior champion bull Goldstein Park Phoenix T1 from Arabar Livestock at Balaklava, was the sole entry, but judge Nicholls said he would go on to produce good show bulls.
"He's thick, but you can see he's got that softness to him too, he's got a bit of cover, he looks to be an early maturing type," she said.
Sired by Goldstein Park Pheonix P10, the February 2022-drop weighed 670kg and had a 126EMA, plus 11mm rib and 11mm rump fats.
Grand and senior champion female went to Maryvale Stargaze S115 from Lakota Livestock at Stockport.
Judge Nicholls said the two-year-old, sired by Shannalea Naverone, had a beautiful poddy calf at-foot - "thick as a brick" - which showcased her strong breeding.
"She is very functional and will go on to work for many more years," she said.
