The 2022 Royal Adelaide Show champion cow has returned to the ring, claiming another tricolour sash in 2023.
Judge Scott McKay, McKay Brothers Shorthorns, Newlyn, Vic, said the three-year-old Amrabull Park River Song, which entered the ring with a six-week-old heifer calf at-foot, was very clean throughout the front in its structure.
"She strides out so well, and had a great udder," he said.
"She's doing a very good job on that calf.
"I think she's got a big future."
Exhibitor Scott Carter, Amrabull Park, Nuriootpa, said River Song had spent the past 12 months "doing her job at home".
"We're really impressed with her," he said.
"She's something that you see out in the paddock and smile to see an animal of that calibre in your herd."
The calf, Amrabull Park Una Song, was from AI sire Clanfingon Nixon, and Mr Carter said they were hoping this calf could hit the same top notes as its namesake dam.
"She's got a name to live up to," he said.
Mr Carter and Luke Godly first started breeding Belted Galloways in 2015 and were impressed with their results so far.
