We all know people that have amazing backstories.
Sometimes we have known them for a long time, for others we may have only met them later in life.
Whichever way, they can be quite an inspiration.
These individuals may not see that their life is all that remarkable, but others will probably disagree with them.
Some people just do what they have to do to get through life unscathed.
It's not until much later that they may take time to reflect on just how much they have achieved.
Or, they may have people around them commend them for getting through life under such circumstances. Either way, it's a massive accomplishment.

A trait that seems to be common among people that have overcome adversity, is the ability to forgive.
Most often forgiveness is for people close to them. It takes a lot of courage and introspection to get to this point.
But from what I have observed in people, it goes a long way to being able to move forward with one's life.
Adversity can come in many forms. It may be from a dysfunctional upbringing, or the loss of a loved one, or injury or illness that besets the individual.
There are many circumstances that can fit into the category of hardship.
Interestingly, no two people's reaction to seemingly identical situations is the same.
There is no right or wrong with this, what counts is how that individual feels about the circumstance they find themselves in.
Some people are able to move forward by accessing professional help to work through issues.
Others have close friends that are able to just be there for them, and help them through the tough times. Others again, outwardly just seem to get on with it.
In an agricultural context we all know people that have been dealt what seems externally to be a dreadful hand, but they seem to take this in their stride and move forward with their life.
It's not uncommon to hear stories from people who seem to embrace their situation and use that as a catalyst for lasting change. Almost a defining moment is their life.

Agricultural communities are very good at coming together in a time of need.
We have all seen examples of this over the years. It may be as simple as lending an ear to listen.
Or doing something small on a practical level. Right up to sowing or harvesting an entire crop.
To this day I still see country values in people that moved from the country many years ago. It seems to be in the DNA.
Lots of people don't think they have a story that may inspire others .
For these people it's worthwhile taking a moment to reflect on just what they have achieved, and how far they have come.
In these moments of quiet reflection the full gravity of their achievements may become clear.
Rest assured, they would have inspired many people around them, and perhaps shown themselves and others what's possible.
