LAMBS sold for $10-$30 dearer than the previous sale at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange in Vic on Thursday, with the $248 top price going to M Pohlner, Kiamal, Vic for 50 head.
At the sale, 2151 lambs and 637 mutton were offered, totalling 2788.
Export crossbred lambs sold from $205-$248 or $6.80-$7.50/kg, while trade lambs made $132-$212 ($7.30 -$7.80/kg).
BA&KL Adams, Broken Hill, NSW, sold 80 crossbred lambs at $230, while Mowatville Partners, Managatang, Vic, sold 73 at $228; as did J Phillips, Walpeup, Vic, with 26 head; and so did D&J Jonasson, Cowangie, Vic, with 37 head.
New season lambs sold to $200 ($7.80/kg) for GM&MA Nicholl, Linga, Vic, with 40 head, while crossbred suckers sold to $212 for Waymel, Ouyen, with 36 head.
Heavy Merino lambs sold from $174-$204 ($7-$7.40/kg), while light types made $107-$145 ($7/kg).
EJ&PS Byrnes, Mildura, Vic, sold the 57 top Merino lambs at $204, while M Burns, Tempy, Vic, sold 20 at $196.
Hahnel Nominees, Timberoo Sth, Vic, sold 37 Merino lambs at $190, plus 24 crossbred lambs at $207.

Mutton firm to $10 cheaper, with heavy types making $135-$178 (520 - 560c/kg) and lighter lots making $111-$138 (520 -560c/kg).
D&K Daniel, Pinnaroo, sold the top 37 mutton at $178, plus 48 crossbred suckers at $211.
M Pohlner, Kiamal, sold 57 mutton at $176; Pine Camp Station, Wentworth, NSW, sold 88 mutton at $158; and Fitzpatrick Partners, Walpeup, sold 42 at $156.
Dorper lambs were also offered, with Glen Esk Partners, Wentworth, NSW, selling 20 at $196 and 22 at $189.
AR Kay Trust, Meringur, Vic, sold 29 Dorpers at $188, while WD&SM Small, Lameroo, sold 58 at $174.
