A LARGE run of quality crossbred lambs kicked off the Mount Pleasant market on Thursday, where 897 sheep and lambs were offered.
TG&EA Payne, Mount Pleasant, offered the top price crossbred lambs, with 15 making to $222, while M&T Saegenschnitter, Keyneton, receiving $220 for 23 head.
Dopen, Rockleigh, also sold a larger line of 25 crossbred lambs, making $208, and five hoggets at $154; while RA Schubert & T Beesley, Red Creek, sold 17 crossbred lambs at $204.
WL Wilson, Belvidere, sold 20 crossbred lambs also at $204, as well as the sale's top price wether at $168 and 10 ewes at $174 and another five ewes at $142.
Hoggets sold to R&J Sweetman, Red Creek, for two at $162, while R Hearne, Tailem Bend, sold three at $160; the sale's top price ewe at $200 and another 23 ewes at $150.

In the cattle section, 159 head were offered, including some popular feedlot types.
Topping the sale at $2600 were two Speckle Park/Murray Grey grainfed heifers from JD Cawrse, Freeling, while AG&BA Loffler, Mannum, sold one grainfed black baldy heifer at $2580.
PA&FT Frahn, Mannum, offered the top price grainfed steers - two Murray Greys at $2420, while also receiving $2300 for two black baldies, $2260 for two more Murray Greys, $2200 for two Murray Grey-crosses, and $2000 for three Murray Grey-cross steers, plus $2100 for a Murray Grey heifer.
AJK Pastoral, Myponga, sold a black baldy steer at $2210 and two Hereford heifers at $1680; while Hearnden Farm, Keyneton, sold a Limousin steer at $2140, another three at $2020, and two heifers at $1640.
Cows sold to $2300 for three Poll Herefords from Maclachlan Pewsey Vale, Royston Park, who sold another three at $2200 and a bobby calf at $540; while MF&LF Seelander, Angaston, sold three Murray Grey cows at $2200 and a heifer at $1620.
