Struan research hopes to pave way for virtual fencing on SA farms

SARDI senior research officer Megan Willis says a trial at Struan will focus on measuring animal welfare while the virtual fencing technology is in use.

The commercial use of virtual fencing is currently prohibited in SA but research about to get underway at Struan Research Centre could open the gate for regulatory change.
