Ram sale season was in full swing, with impressive tops reached across the state, the Royal adelaide Show had come to a close and the Young Farmers Forum was held.
The Yorke Peninsula Field Days, Paskeville, were also held, with the 750 exhibitors expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors.
Meanwhile in the markets, spirited bidding saw most lines of sheep rise between $5 and $6 at the Jamestown market, with some lines up as much as $10 on the August sale.
