CATTLE prices dipped at this week's market at Mount Pleasant, as the sector undoubtedly feels the to and froing of market uncertainty.
Despite this, prices were still pretty solid for most steer types, with PA&FT Frahn, Mannum, making the market's $2360 top price for two Murray Grey crosses.
The vendor sold a further two at $2320.
Returns for quality cattle fell away to $1920 for two Hereford crosses from B Jones & M Harrison, Charleston, while PA&FT Frahn offer a few different breeds including a Speckle Park cross steer and made $1900 and a Hereford cross for $1860.
Neina Hill, Murray Bridge, made $1840 for an Angus cross steer.
In the heifer section, one black Baldy from N McArdle, Cookes Plains, made the $1820 top price and PA&FT Frahn $1800 for one Charolais.
Neina Hill made $1640 for two Angus cross heifers and one Droughtmaster heifer made an appearance from M McLoughlin, Tanunda, and made $1620.
A fair few bobby calves made it to the market this week, with 21 offered in total to a top of $200.
JM&MJ Koch, Lyndoch, made $200 for eight Angus/Friesian crosses.
Lambs were also back in price when compared with the last Mount Pleasant market, reaching a top pf $200.
RJ Rathjen & Co, Millendella, were the vendors who nabbed the top price for nine lambs, while M&T Saegenschnitter, Nuriootpa, made $215 for a larger run of 18.
Hearnden Farm, Keyneton, offered the largest run of lambs and made $200 for 117.
Ewes were scarce and LW Pumpa, Eden Valley, made $170 for 36, and EM Olson, Geranium, made $150 for 12.
The same vendor offered 14 wethers and made $150-$152.
