KI locals pushing for fire breaks, prescribed burns

MAKE TRACKS: Agriculture KI chairman Jamie Heinrich was keen to see control lines from the 2019-20 bushfires within the national parks on the western end of the island made into permanent fire access tracks.

THIS past week marks two years since the devastating 2019-20 summer bushfires were contained on Kangaroo Island and questions still remain about whether enough is being done to stop the disaster from happening again.
