About 125 retired and active pastoralists and Elders agents converged on Adelaide Oval on Friday for the 87th annual Yankee Shout.
After a forced cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19, Elders Northern Cattle coordination and Yankee shout convenor Bruce Cameron said it was "fantastic" to have the event up and running again.
"Everyone has been talking about how excited they are to be able to attend this year," he said.
"There is a bit of a changing of the guard happening at the moment, and it's great to see some new faces attend, as well as those who have been here many times before," he said.
Those in attendance this year came from all across SA, as well as parts of the NT near Alice Springs, and western NSW.
Douglas Lillecrapp, Todmorden Station, Oodnadatta, and artist, author, ex-stockman and past SA Citizen of the Year Richard Maurovic were the keynote speakers on the day.
