ORGANISERS of Stock Journal's 2022 Beef Week are calling for final entries for the long-running event.
The field days will be held across four big days next February, kicking off on Friday, February 4 in the Mid North, moving to the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula on Sunday, February 6, the Lower South East on Monday, February 7 and concluding in the Upper South East the following day.
Beef Week has been an enduring success for close to 50 years with Stock Journal in its fifth year of putting the event on.
Stock Journal livestock sales representative Mark Scown says it has been pleasing to see strong interest, including several studs planning to make their Beef Week debut.
He says Beef Week is a very cost-effective way for studs to promote themselves and their breeding programs, as well as being a great prelude to the upcoming on-property bull sales.

Mr Scown is expecting an exciting 2022 bull sale season with so much confidence in the ag sector.
"The record prices being seen in the eastern states at their spring bull sales should flow into southern sales in SA and Vic in February and March," he said.
"We are already hearing about some bulls being sold and expect strong demand with the season and rebuild of the cow herd."
