CROSSBRED lambs were $10 to $25 a head dearer at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange in Vic on Thursday last week, where 7965 lambs and 1315 mutton were offered, totalling 9280.
Export lambs sold from $218-$305 or $7.80 a kilogram to $8.80/kg, trade types made $166-$255 ($8.20-$9.60/kg), while store lambs received $50-$155.
G Munro, Ouyen, sold the top lambs - 63 at $305, while Cureton Pastoral, Mildura, Vic, sold 87 crossbred lambs as $300, as did M Pohlner, Kiamal, Vic, with 29 at $300.
ERF, Torrita, Vic, sold 117 crossbred lambs at $298, as did T&S Monaghan, Tempy, Vic, with 23 at $298.
R&P Henschke, Pirlta, Vic, sold 40 crossbred lambs at $280; P&P Wisneske, Underbool, Vic, sold 27 at $267; while PW Lonergan, Ouyen, sold 68 at $264.
Heavy Merinos sold from $200-$260 ($7.80-$8.40/kg), while lighter types made $70-$186 ($8-$8.40/kg)
J&R Scott, Timberoo, Vic, sold the tops - 84 at $260, while Stony View Farms, Patchewollock, Vic sold 98 at $258.

MUT, Tempy, sold 65 Merino lambs at $255, while N&B Templeton, Chinkapook, Vic, sold 92 at $242.
Light mutton was slightly dearer, making $114-$170 ($7-$7.50/kg), while heavy mutton was firm at $176-$248 ($6.40-$7/kg).
P&A Schulz, Karoonda, sold 48 mutton at $248, while D Daniel, Pinnaroo, sold 45 at $242.
K&T Ryan, Kulwin, Vic, sold 81 mutton at $228, while Bambill North, Bambill, Vic, sold 39 at $219.
Dorper lambs were also offered, selling to $221 by B Clothier, Karoonda, with 28 head.
Barraroo Station, Menindee, NSW, sold 94 Dorper lambs at $220, while Keera Station, Lake Culluleraine, Vic, sold 46 at $205.
The next Ouyen sale will be held on August 5.
