Studs across the Upper South East enjoyed a steady stream of visitors today, on the final day of Stock Journal Beef Week.
A total of 17 studs opened their gates on Day 4, predominantly across the Field, Keith, Willalooka and Bordertown areas.
Continuing the encouraging trend from previous days, stud principals reported plentiful genuine interest in their stock. Many studs displayed a sample of bulls before upcoming sales, while a number of bulls available for sale during the field day found new homes.
Some studs also said there was increased interstate interest through the day, in comparison to previous years.
Beef Week has now concluded, after successful days in the Mid North last Friday the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Loxton area on Sunday, and the Lower South East yesterday (Monday).
Across the four days 57 studs have participated in 2021 Beef Week, representing 11 breeds.
