POLICE are investigating the theft of more than $3000 worth of sheep from the Murray Bridge saleyards.
The incident was recently reported to Murray Bridge Police.
SAPOL have reported that a truck delivered 511 sheep to the Murray Bridge saleyards, on Thomas Street, at about 8.30pm on Wednesday, November 25.
Only 490 of those sheep were loaded onto the next carrier at about 9.30am the following morning.
It is estimated the 21 crossbreds were worth just above $3000.
