MANNUM is getting ready to rev up the action this weekend with the annual Hot Rod Show returning on Sunday.
Raising money for the Mannum Hospital Auxiliary, it includes live rock n' roll entertainment alongside the hot rods, classic and customs of all shapes, sizes and colours.
Coordinator Leon Warhurst said the event draws a crowd from a wide area.
"Many Victorian owners make their way over to SA to join us to celebrate this motoring event as they love the atmosphere and the Murray River backdrop," he said.
The PS Marion will be offering one hour cruises on the day and there will be an undercover dance floor for all those rock n roll enthusiasts, food stalls and parking/shuttle bus transfers from the Mannum Football Oval to the event.
Mid Murray Council mayor Dave Burgess said the Mary Ann Reserve was the perfect setting to welcome the many hot rod and classic car owners to Mannum.
"It is wonderful to see the vibrancy and economic impact this event brings to our town and region with the many visitors who make the annual pilgrimage from interstate and across SA," he said.
"The event volunteers should be commended for their tireless work and the annual fundraising it provides for our Mannum Hospital Auxiliary".
Car registration is $10 with entry $2.00 and children under 14 free.
The action will take place from 10am-4pm on Sunday, March 8.
