A parcel has come up on the Upper Eyre Peninsula with Emu Rocks and Country Life, near Cunyarie, likely to appeal to those seeking large scale broad acre cropping.
Emu Rocks and Country Life offer 4344 hectares (10,735 acres) of which approximately 3650ha (9,020ac) is arable and, as well as providing broad acre cropping, there is also an option for a large scale livestock operation.
"We are continuously approached by buyers seeking properties of scale and this absolutely ticks that box," Elders Rural sales executive, Adam Chilcott said.
Emu Rocks and Country Life are situated approximately 25 kilometres north-west of Kimba in the area known as Cunyarie.
The flat to gently undulating topography includes soil profiles comprising a mix of red and brown clay loams and sandy loams, ideal for many cereal varieties to thrive in.
The vendors have retained extensive yield and rainfall data dating back 75 years, including potential compared with actual yield statistics and at times have produced cereal crops in excess of 2.5 tonne to the hectare.
Multiple water tanks and dams service the holdings and a stone homestead with recently built pergola along with shearers quarters, a shearing shed, yarding facilities, multiple other sundry structures all comprise the improvements.
All the necessary infrastructure elements to run a successful operation exist on Emu Rocks and are complemented by the smaller Country Life holding.
The famed Cunyarie water scheme, introduced by the vendor, provides scheme water to the district.
It is a pioneering achievement synonymous with the families of the region, who through innovation and determination characterise our country.
To further enhance this opportunity, a new entrant to the export grain landscape in the region is now providing an additional competitive grain export pathway.
