A ram and two ewes from Jackson stud, Moyston, Vic made it four years in a row the Border Leicester breed has won supreme interbreed group.
They won the Paternoster Trophy for the best British breed group under 1.5 years of age from the Romney and Suffolk breeds, but then conquered the strong competition of meat sheep breeds for supreme.
Their prize was a Tru-Test SR2 stick reader donated by Datamars Australia and Elders voucher.
Heading up the group was the Jackson's reserve champion ram, Jackson 166-18 which will be offered in the stud's annual sale on October 17.
The August 2018 drop weighed 103.5 kilograms with a 40 millimetre eye muscle and 13mm fat scan.
It had a $index of 135.2, including a post weaning weight of 8.2 and number of lambs weaned figure of 10.
"He is pretty hard to fault, he is really well balanced with plenty of muscle and length,"Ross Jackson said.
It was accompanied by two 12 month old ewes, one of which was third in its class.
The trio were the same animals which also took out the interbreed group title at Hamilton Sheepvention last month.
Ross said it was pleasing to reclaim the trophy they last won in 2016.
"It shows you have consistency with both sides of the breeding with both the ram and the ewe represented," he said.
"With the Border Leicesters it is a little bit harder because you have to get the wool type even as well.
"It is not easy to try and find three that look like that."
Jackson stud started coming to Adelaide more than 20 years ago and have been exhibiting every year for the past five years.
"It is a really good showing environment with great people, a lot of rural people come in," he said.
Runner-up was the White Suffolk group from Ian and Barbara Nitschke, Glenarbian stud, Millicent.
The ram and one of the ewes was sired by Baringa Triumph while the other ewe was by Premier 23.
In White Suffolk judging the ewes were third in the pairs, while Glenarbian's ram was sold in the Elite Stud sale for $4500.
