The other ram to make the top price was lot 3, with fleece measurements of 18.2M, 3.6SD, 19.9CV and 99.3CF. It had a Dual Purpose Plus index of 179 and Merino Production Plus index of 169, along with ASBVs including 7.7YWT, 0.1YEMD, and 0.1Yfat.
The Richardsons were chasing the impressive data the Malleetech rams offered.
They bought six rams at the top end of the catalogue, including the top five Dual Purpose Plus indexed rams, which were all in the top 10 per cent of Australia.
All rams offered were positive for fat and eye muscle depth, with a total of 14 rams in the top 10pc on the Dual Purpose Plus index.
The sale was supported by long-term local and Yorke Peninsula clients.
All Malleetech rams are paddock reared but are fully measured and pedigree recorded to give reliable information to clients.
The sale was conducted by Landmark Tintinara, and was interfaced with AuctionsPlus.
