Agricultural industry members converged in Glenelg on Thursday night for the 14th annual Ag Excellence Awards.
The night was a resounding success, recognising the work of individuals and groups across the state.
The PIRSA Grower Group Award was won by Women Together Learning. The group received the accolade and $5000 for their proposal to build linkages between women that participate in WoTL regional activities and the Stepping Into Leadership Alumni program.
The award was accepted by WoTL chair Sharon Honner.
Michael Richards was the recipient of the Ag Excellence Perpetual Award, which recognised outstanding service.
Specifically, Mr Richards received the award for his substantial and long lasting contribution to sustainable agriculture and natural resources in SA.
Former professional AFL footballer turned 'foodie' Daniel Motlop was guest speaker for the night.
Mr Motlop gave a presentation on his business 'Something Wild', which is Australia's first indigenous-owned supplier of game meats and native foods.
