For this week's Flashback Friday we go back 20 years to the May 1999 editions of Stock Journal, when wool prices were low, the season had been very dry, there was debate over the GST and WET and dairy was about to be deregulated, while OJD had found its way into SA. We feature socials from the S Kidman & Co centenary celebrations, RFDS ball, World Jersey Cattle Bureau conference, K-Tank camp draft, an inaugural two-day yard dog trial at Broken Hill, National Science Week for schools, Kapunda Trade Fair, Roe Creek saleyards in Alice Springs, Adelaide wool stores and markets among the many on-farm photos.
