The inaugural meeting to launch the SA Country Women's Association Goyder branch was held in Robertstown on Friday, attracting about 30 women of all ages from across the region.
Attendees elected the inaugural Goyder region committee, including president Stephanie Schmidt, Worlds End, vice-president Karen Neal, Robertstown, secretary Emily Buddle, Eudunda, and treasurer Jodie Stockman, Burra.

Ms Schmidt said the CWA was an important organisation for women in rural areas.
"Women are keen for an opportunity to engage socially with others in the community," she said.
Meetings will be held on the second Friday of each month, at 6:30pm for a 7pm start, with the location to be confirmed.
Ms Schmidt said technology would be useful for connecting women from across the region.
"One proposed idea for meetings is to possibly have a whole of branch meeting every second month at Robertstown, then on alternating months hold dual meetings at Eudunda and Burra and use videoconferencing to link the two meetings," she said.
CWA state president Roslyn Schumann and state treasurer Sharyn Muller were also at the meeting.
