Entries are open once again for the GrainGrowers calendar photo competition which recognises the top agricultural shots taken by Australian grain producers.
Farmers are encouraged to capture moments that reflect the varied aspects of life as grain producers.
From the faces of those working the land, the diverse varieties and colours of crops, innovation or technology at work, different farming operations, nature and weather at play, or a simple picture that encapsulates why you live where you do.
GrainGrowers CEO David McKeon said they produce a calendar every year and entries are now open, with some great prizes on offer.
“This year farmers will be able to upload their photo entries directly on to the GrainGrowers’ newly refreshed website and the shots will immediately be on display,” Mr McKeon said.
“The grain farming community will be able to jump on the site to vote for their favourite photos.”
“Growers who are entering a top shot from their district should spread the word via social media and get their local community behind them and voting.”
The most popular shot will take out the People’s Choice Award with a prize of $50 and there will also be prizes for first, second and third of $1000, $500 and $250.
Competition is free and open to GrainGrowers members until November 1.
Participants can post their four best photos for consideration.
