A free sheep technology and innovation day will be held in Hawker on September 25 as an opportunity for producers to discuss challenges, share ideas and plan for the future of a currently booming industry.
The one-day event will be held at the Hawker Community Sporting Centre from 9am to 4:30pm and is open to sheep and wool producers across the state.
Industry experts will give presentations on topics such as yard and shed design, satellite and water telemetry, virtual fencing and drones.
There will also be demonstrations and trade displays concerning water management, sheep handling equipment, farm and livestock software and wild dog management.
PIRSA and One Biosecurity staff will also be available to answer questions regarding dry conditions and available assistance.
The event is supported by Australian Wool Innovation Limited, SheepConnect SA, Primary Industries and Regions SA, Brand South Australia, SA Sheep Industry Fund, and the South Australian Arid Lands Natural Resources Management Board.
