The Minlaton organising committee for the 2018 SA Rural Women’s Gathering has paid tribute to its geographical location with the theme Step out on the Leg – a reference to the leg of southern Yorke Peninsula.
The event will be held from August 24-26 and offers opportunities for all women, whether they want agricultural information, business information, personal development or a social and recreational opportunity.
Women attending from across the state will have the opportunity to socialise and participate in more than 50 self-development and skills workshops, which also includes walking tours and bus tours of the local area.
Participants will also have the opportunity to listen to some inspirational and informative speakers.
Speakers include Carly Ryan Foundation chief executive officer Sonya Ryan, Grain producers SA new CEO Caroline Rhodes and award winning human rights activist, inspirational speaker, facilitator and consultant Khadija Gbla.
Builder, carpenter and radio personality Rose Squire will hold a workshop.
Organisers say they are hoping to attract about 250 women from across SA, with it a great opportunity to promote the region, including businesses and tourist attractions.
