THE National Farmers’ Federation took the next step towards its goal of helping farm production values reach $100 billion by 2030 last week, joining Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to launch the Talking 2030 discussion paper.
While Mr Turnbull says he has “no doubt” the industry will reach the NFF’s goal, KPMG’s Doug Ferguson says the target looks unattainable unless aggressive approaches are adopted to boost scale, improve export branding and shake up our export market expectations.
