PREMIER Steven Marshall’s Cabinet lineup contains a few surprises, with Member for Chaffey Tim Whetstone taking the primary industries and regional development portfolios.
Long-time Opposition agriculture spokesperson David Ridgway has been given responsibility for trade, tourism and investment.
The new Cabinet – all making its ministerial debut, with the exception of Treasurer Rob Lucas – was sworn in at Government House this morning by SA Governor Hieu Van Le.
The lineup contains the same 14 MPs who made up the shadow ministry, but as with the primary industries and trade roles, several other responsibilities have been reshuffled.
Member for Schubert Stephan Knoll has been given the transport portfolio previously handled by Corey Wingard, as well as planning, infrastructure and local government.
David Speirs has retained responsibility for environment and water, while Dan van Holst Pellekaan will be Energy and Mining Minister.
