Australian Pork Limited will give an economic impact report and nutritionist Tony Edwards will talk about minimising feed wastage.
APL’s Ashley Norval will discuss practical production innovations and consultant Graeme Pope will look at skills development.
The University of Queensland’s Stephan Tait will cover how to use piggery biogas as a energy source.
Other topics to be covered include Australian herd performance benchmarking data and calculating cost of production in multi-enterprise farms.
The day is being run by Pork SA, with support from APL, the Pork CRC, industry partner sponsors and the SA Pig Industry Fund.
