MOUNT GAMBIER
Yarding: 1154
Steers to $1380

AGENTS quoted rates as being generally dearer across most classes of steers at the Mount Gambier store cattle sale on Friday.
The only exception was heavier steers, which were a fraction cheaper than last month.
After the price correction during the winter months, the trajectory looks to be heading back up again.
Light to medium-weight steers were fully firm on September returns.
They were reflecting the prices in the prime market, which has had a lift in recent weeks.
Despite the lesser yarding of 1154, some very good quality lines of cattle were offered, with restockers having the upper hand ahead of feedlot buyers.
