THE inaugural Growing SA conference will bring Grain Producers SA and Livestock SA members together to discuss farm business competitiveness, profitability and growth.
The organisations will combine their annual industry events at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre on August 11, with a number of politicians and policy-makers attending.
Keynote speakers include Assistant Minister for Agriculture Anne Ruston, Australian Farm Institute and ACCC Ag Commissioner Mick Keogh and agricultural investment expert Ed Peter.
GRDC chief executive officer Dr Steve Jefferies and Meat & Livestock Australia managing director Richard Norton will also address industry delegates.
Also confirmed to attend is state Agriculture Minister Leon Bignell.
GPSA CEO Darren Arney said with a number of politicians attending , the conference would be a great opportunity to showcase the industry and growth opportunities.
“In the lead up to the state election, we want to ensure that our industry is placed front and centre in policy debates so we can ensure primary production policies of all parties contesting the election enable our members to remain profitable,” he said.
The day program is free for GPSA and Livestock SA members to attend.
Livestock SA CEO Andrew Curtis encouraged all producers to attend and support the organisations who advocate for them.
