Two of those celebrating are agriculture merit winners Tim Doecke, Loxton High School, and Stan Freetham, Westminster School.
Tim will spend his break working on a potato farm, and plans to study agriculture at the University of Adelaide next year.
Stan did not come from an agricultural background but began studying the subject in year 9. His interest was cemented in his year 11 work experience at Thomas Foods International. With an ATAR of 98.2, he plans to study business marketing, with the goal to be head of marketing and trade for an agricultural firm.
