Iron Road managing director Andrew Stocks said the project was in the middle of a commercialisation program.
“It’s taking the project from just that, a project, to being ready for funding,” he said. “The state government is also in the final stages of its assessment and approval process, which we expect to be completed early in the new year.”
Mr Stocks said expressions of interest were not binding.
“We just want to talk to companies or individuals who may wish to utilise the facilities before we finalise the plans and design,” he said. “Before it’s locked in, we want ensure other users are taken into account.”
