Murray Jaeschke, Glen Rufus, Morgan, holds the $800 top priced ram of the auction hekd at Allenville, Kadina. Standing behind are Allenville studmaster Murray Allen and Elders auctioneer Tony Wetherall. 

This group was responsible for buying half of the rams catalogued at the annual Allenville, Kadina, ram auction, with 26 rams being knocked down to the Nutt family's Curnmona Pastoral Co. ADELAIDE RAM SALE: Mt Bryan-based Collinsville stud kicked off the Adelaide Ram Sale.

PIBA DUBBO SHEEP SHOW & SALE: SA studs shared in the stong wool Poll Merino ram broad ribbons at Dubbo. Deloshanda stud, Darke Peak took out the championship with this ram held by Dustry MacGowan. The reserve was exhibited by Rob Ashby, Old Ashrose stud, Hallett. 

PIBA DUBBO SHEEP SHOW & SALE: Dunedin Park stud, Wentworth, NSW, took out the reserve champion pair of Merinos. Left is Bob Duncan with the champion strong wool ram and reserve grand champion ram, while his Stuart holds the reserve champion strong wool ewe.

ROYAL SHOW LADIES DAY: Sharing a cup of tea during the afternoon were Adelaide ladies Jenny and Annette Coleman and Lorraine Gormly. 

Formerly of Booleroo Centre and now enjoying their retirement at Glenelg, Elaine and Brian Gum popped up to the Elders wool store to see friends Ralph and Judy Nutt, Pandurra station, Port Augusta, who were selling 180 bales of medium wool. Guiding them through the samples of wool is Elders wool technical officer Rob Williams. 

SA RAM SALES ROUND UP: Karoonda sheep producer Barry Radlock (right) bought this Poll Merino ram for equal top price of $900 at the Netley Park sale. Holding the ram is stud principal Grant Petras.

The Gadd family's The Glen Murray Grey stud, Wodonga, Vic, had sold a semen package from one of their senior sires, Temar Lotus, to Bend of the Creek Ranch, Stilwell, Oklahoma, US.

ROYAL SHOW: The senior male champion and supreme champion alpaca, Suricaya Conquerer, led by Natasha Clarke, Kurrawa stud, Bellbrae, Vic. 

Peter Lintern, Tungkillo, Colin Fawcett, Wesfarmer Dalgety Mt Pleasant, and Stan Cox, Palmer, at a lice eradication meeting for Tungkillo/Rockleigh sheep producers. 

Organiser of the sheep lice seassion for Tungkillo/Rockleigh were Stuart Woodman and Trevor Anderson, Wesfarmers Dalgety, and Dick and Joe Keynes, Keyneton, members of the local SAFF and Keyneton Lice Eradication Group. 

Brian Pym, Rockleigh, Maurice Collins, Tungkillo, and Bill Cameron, Rockleigh, were keen contributors in the sheep lice meeting. 

HART FIELD DAY: Irene Verner, marketing manager Jay Meek and general manager Brian Rodda, all from Pea and Grain Exporters Ltd, were at the Hart Field Day to promote lentils in SA. 

HART FIELD DAY: The wet, cold and windy conditions didn't keep farmers away from the Hart Field Day.

ROYAL SHOW: Winner of the Fred Kelly Memoriral Trophy for dairy cattle junior judging, 16-year-old David Patterson. 

ROYAL SHOW: Stock Journal's Jessica Sullivan, a competitor in the show hand-milking competition, getting a word of encouragement from her cow and State Minister of Primary Industryies, Rob Kerin. 

ROYAL SHOW: Five-year-old Robert Ross of the Glen Gillian Santa Gertrudis stud at Williamstown.

This bull sold for second top price of $10,500 the the Gorlan Hereford sale. With the yearling bull are buyers Annette and Andrew Bell, Millicent, son Sam and daughters Meg and Libby and Gorian studmaster Guy Lord, while on the halter is Gorlan's Roger Evans. 

Wonga wethers well bought: Wonga Pastoral's David, John and Will Lindner at the Burra combined sheep sale. The Lindner's offered a line of fresh condition wethers which attracted plenty of interest, selling for $35.20 to T&R Pastoral. 

Tony Modra was joining the McDonald's Good Neighbours Passport Trail at the Adelaide Zoo. He is pictured with zookeeper Sandy Fisher and regular zoo visitor Courtney Swanson.
