About 35gL is assigned to the Lower Darling to benefit landholders from Menindee to Pooncarie, NSW.
WaterNSW said up to 1500 megalitres a day would be released down the system to “flush the river and bring environmental benefit”, before tapering off to 150-200mgL/day to “prolong the flow for as long as possible”.
Locals believe it will be halfway to Pooncarie by Friday.
