Productive soils in the state’s Upper North will be a strong focus this year.
The day will start with visits to two soil pits and presentations by Michael Eyres and Edward Scott from Injekta Field Systems. These sites have had comprehensive soil analysis undertaken, and a detailed overview of the soil parameters and options for remediation of yield-limiting factors will be discussed.
Kate Burke, Think Agri, Echuca, Vic, will give a detailed insight into managing business risk while ensuring an effective crop nutrition program, SARDI’s Nigel Wilhelm will talk about micro and macro nutrients, and Australian Grain Technologies’ Paul Telfer will discuss crop physiology.
There will also be farmer and advisory panels with the theme “Planning for a variable spring – tools and techniques”.
