THE countdown is on for the 2016 Royal Adelaide Show from September 2 to 11.

With less than 90 days to go, breeders and schools wanting to exhibit their livestock are being encouraged to download the schedules and get their entries in.
The first one to close will be beef cattle and led steers tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm. Murray Greys will be the feature beef breed, with more than $13,000 worth of cash and prizes on offer.
Dairy cattle and goat entries close Friday, June 17, with Ayrshires the feature dairy breed. Pig entries cut off on July 1 with Landrace to feature.
Merinos will take centre ring in the sheep shed, with a large crowd of interstate and overseas visitors expected for the inaugural World Merino Insight.
The program takes in the show judging, Australia’s premier multi-vendor ram sale, as well as a conference and field day.
Sheep and wool entries close July 15.
Alpaca breeders have until the same date to get their entries in.
