Butterfields Farm Direct Stockfeeds launched a new layer pellet product, Cackle, to help support the extraordinary work of the McGrath Foundation.
The pellets, which are packaged in a pink bag, aim to raise much-needed funds for the foundation, with Butterfields donating 5 per cent of the bag’s wholesale price to the organisation.
McGrath breast care nurses help families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
Butterfields Farm Direct Stockfeeds owner Billy Butterfield said he personally knew women who had been affected by breast cancer.
The McGrath Foundation is doing a fantastic job across regional Australia and I thought it’s a way my business could help the cause.

“The McGrath Foundation is doing a fantastic job across regional Australia and I thought it’s a way my business could help the cause,” he said.
Butterfields Farm Direct Stockfeeds was established in 2014 following a strong demand for quality horse feed.
It has since ventured into mineral lick products for sheep and cattle, more affordable feedlot supplements for lambs and, more recently, the chicken layer pellets.
These products complement their already existing large range of poultry, pet and livestock feeds.
Mr Butterfield said the health of animals was extremely important to the business, and he believed good feeding would maximise an animal’s ability to reach its genetic potential.
He said the state-of-the-art stockfeed plant on the EP could produce any grain-based feed for a variety of animals and was able to tailor feed solutions to suit exact requirements.
“We are very lucky to be located in the heart of graingrowing country, which allows us to source some of the best raw materials, but also easily deliver to all parts of Australia,” Mr Butterfield said.
Anyone interested in the new layer pellets or any other Butterfields Farm Direct Stockfeeds products can inquire at their local fodder store.
