BREEDING Merinos is not the only talent of Western District grazier Nick Falkenberg, Mepungah Pastoral Company, Wannon. The fourth generation farmer, who runs 28,500 sheep and 1100 Angus cattle across 3200ha, is a renowned blues musician. Mr Falkenberg, known creatively as Nick Wildgoose, released his first album, Dilettante Bluesman, which has been in the top ten positions on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts this year.
