The steers were purchased by Golden Triangle Meats, Kongorong.
The steers are to be grain finished for 120 days in GTM’s newly accredited undercover feedlot facility.
A large portion of the bodies have been pre-contracted direct to households in China, delivered directly and packed to their liking.
The balance of this first intake of steers to the feedlot will be presented to a local processor.
Golden Triangle Meats intend to continually source GBA bred steers for their feedlot with an expected turnover of 1500 steers per annum.
