LONG-TIME Limevale buyer Bert Edwards, Devon Station, Broken Hill, bought the $1300 top-price ram at the stud's 28th annual Poll Merino ram sale at Weetulta on Tuesday last week.

The ram carried a 20.3-micron fleece with a standard deviation of 4.1, co-efficient of variation of 20.2 and comfort factor of 98.7 per cent.
It was Mr Edwards' 21st buying trip to Limevale, where he was impressed by the ram's "free-growing white wool and good body type".
"I've stuck with Limevale rams because they are very good doers and they're very fertile rams," he said.
He bought a further seven rams to $700.
